Privacy Policy

Small Shop Ledger (the “App”) is developed by AICD Studio (“we”). This policy explains how the App and its service providers handle information and how you can manage your choices.

1. Information handled by the App

Product, order, cost, and other business records are stored on your device by default. The App does not require an account registration or send these records to our own business servers.

• The App does not ask you for your name, phone number, or email. Information you choose to send to support is used to respond to your request.
• Only if you opt in to analytics, the App sends events such as app launches, page views, feature use, order-feature actions, statistics-page views, and report exports, with event fields such as status, category, count, region, and provider.
• Events do not include order details, product or customer names, amounts, costs, exported file contents, or other business records.
• To provide analytics, SDKs may also process device identifiers, device model, operating system and app version, language/region, network state, IP address or approximate region derived from it, and session timing. Exact fields depend on the SDK version and provider configuration in the App.

2. Third-party analytics

Analytics is optional. On first launch, you can enable it or continue with core features only. You can change your choice at any time under “About → Privacy Policy.” Analytics SDKs are not initialized before opt-in. When you turn analytics off, the App asks the SDK to stop collection and stops sending custom events. Data already received by a provider is handled under that provider’s policies.

• Mainland China: Umeng Mobile Analytics, provided by Umeng+, is used to understand feature usage and may process the device and app operation information listed above. See the Umeng privacy policy.
• Other regions: Google Analytics for Firebase, provided by Google, is used for app usage analytics. In addition to custom events, Firebase Analytics automatically collects some app usage events and properties and may process an app-instance identifier, device/OS and app information, network data, and approximate location derived from IP. Providers process analytics data under their service terms and may handle it in the regions where they operate. Review their policies for details about processing, retention, and exercising your rights. We do not use analytics for advertising or cross-app tracking and do not send order amounts, costs, or identifiable business records to analytics SDKs.

3. Local storage and iCloud backup

Data that is not backed up remains in the device’s Core Data database. Pro users can enable automatic iCloud backup or start a backup manually. The App uploads a JSON backup file, which may contain products, orders, categories, costs, and other business data, to an Apple CloudKit private database associated with your Apple Account. Apple CloudKit stores this backup; it is not uploaded to our own business servers.

Turning off automatic backup stops future automatic uploads but does not delete an existing cloud backup. Delete that copy separately from the App’s iCloud backup screen. Clearing local data or uninstalling the App also does not automatically delete it. You are responsible for files you export to Files or other services.

4. Purchases and biometrics

Apple StoreKit processes in-app purchases. We do not receive your full payment credentials; Apple provides transaction status so the App can restore or unlock purchases.

Boss Mode uses iOS LocalAuthentication. Face or fingerprint templates are handled by iOS, and the App does not read biometric data.

5. Retention, deletion, and your choices

• You can clear business data stored on your device in the App. Cloud backups must be deleted separately as described above.
• You can turn analytics off under “About → Privacy Policy.” No new custom analytics events are sent after opting out. Providers handle data they already received under their policies; you can also contact us for help with a request.
• Uninstalling the App removes app data from the device but does not automatically delete iCloud backups, exported files, or analytics data already received by providers.
• Contact us below with questions or requests about your information. We may need to verify your identity to protect your account.

6. Permissions and network access

Face ID/Touch ID is used for authentication; the file picker is used to import and export backups. Core bookkeeping features work offline. Analytics, purchases, and iCloud backups you enable connect to their respective services.

7. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when our handling practices materially change and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. The effective date will be shown above.
