PromptCam Privacy Policy
PromptCam is provided by the independent developer AICD Studio. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the teleprompter, camera, speech recognition, caption review, and video export features.
1. Scripts, recordings, videos, and captions
Your scripts, recorded videos, audio, and recognized captions are stored locally on your iPhone. PromptCam does not upload this content to developer servers or send it to analytics providers. Whether iOS device backups include app data depends on your system backup settings. You can delete takes in the app. Uninstalling removes app-local data; exported videos saved to Photos or another location must be deleted there separately.
2. Speech recognition and permissions
Speech recognition uses Apple Speech on-device recognition and requires offline support for the selected language and device. If recognition is unavailable, the app informs you; captions can also be added and edited manually. Camera access is used to record video, microphone access is used to record sound and recognize speech, and Speech Recognition permission is used for Apple Speech. PromptCam does not upload audio or video to the developer.
3. Optional analytics
Analytics is off by default. PromptCam initializes analytics only after you opt in. It uses Firebase Analytics outside mainland China and Umeng U-App in mainland China. Events include app launch, analytics consent, recording start and finish, and system language. They do not include scripts, recognized text, audio, or video. Analytics providers may process device, app, network, and diagnostic information under their own policies. Turning analytics off stops future collection but does not automatically delete information already received by a provider. You can change your choice in Settings. Firebase Privacy and Security · Umeng Privacy Policy.
4. One-time purchase
PromptCam Pro is a one-time, non-consumable purchase processed through Apple App Store and StoreKit. It does not renew automatically. Apple handles payment and transaction information under its policies; the developer does not receive your full payment card number. Purchases can be restored through Apple’s restore-purchases flow.
5. Export and third-party services
You may save or share exported videos with a Photos library, file location, or other app you choose. After sharing, the selected service handles the content under its own privacy policy. PromptCam does not operate a server for uploading or hosting your videos.
